As you walk through Hathersage you decide to go to one of the most famous landmarks! in the whole village: the Church! But first you need to know about it…
This church has some unique stained-glass windows that represent Jesus and other people who supported him.
THE WINDOWS THEMSELVES.
There are over 10 windows in the church, one of which has been rescued from Ashopton, the village that was flooded to make Ladybower dam/reservoir.
The Windows of the South Aisle.
The windows tell us a story about the disciples and Jesus.
All of the stained-glass windows have someone in them. As you walk in on your right there are 4 windows one is Mathew, Luke, Mark and John (they are separate windows).
The windows on the North Aisle.
Along the North aisle you will find windows that depict the Christian values Fortitude, Hope, Faith and Charity.
